Philips 37 PFL - Crackling sound. Thread starter Nanor Start date Nov 21, Tags lcd tv. Nanor Active Member. Just been away for over a week and when we got back tonight noticed an issue with our TV. A minute or so after turning it in it began making a crackling sound. It's pretty constant but comes and goes randomly. It might last a few seconds and stop for 20 seconds or it can be constant for a minute and then stop for twenty seconds.

I've confirmed it is the TV and ruled out the amp and TiVo box. I've also confirmed it's not input specific as it makes the noise when I switch to an input that is not in use. The TV is operating perfectly aside from this little noise. Any advice? I'm guessing it's a short or a capacitor on it's way out but kind of hoping there's a simple fix. I have got Richer Sounds supercare so if the worse comes to it I can send it in for repair but would rather do without the inconvenience.

I've made a little YouTube video to illustrate the problem. You must log in or register to reply here. Subscribe to our YouTube channel. Top Bottom.C rackling noise from phillips tv what is it? Anonymous Profile bio tidbit goes here. No comments Permalink Share No comments.
